The workflow is narrow and user-initiated: capture an Upwork page, send it to your configured app, and manage the record there.
Information we collect
•
Extension settings saved in Chrome sync, currently the configured app URL.
•
Upwork page information that you choose to capture by clicking the send button, including page URL, page title, job title, selected text, visible page text, notes, and a raw payload with user agent and capture timestamp.
•
Account and workflow records you create in the companion app, such as proposals, workday logs, proposal intakes, client records, and proposal learning records.
•
Basic technical data needed to operate the service, such as timestamps and server logs.
How we use information
•
To let you capture a proposal intake from an Upwork page and send it to your configured app.
•
To store and organize proposal and workday records for your own workflow.
•
To generate optional AI drafts, proposal advice, and learning records when you use the AI features.
•
To authenticate your account, secure the service, and troubleshoot problems.
How information is shared
•
With the app backend you configure in the extension settings, so the capture can be stored and processed.
•
With Supabase, which is used for authentication and database storage in the companion app.
•
With OpenAI, only when you use the AI enrichment or advice features. The intake and proposal fields you submit may be sent to OpenAI to generate a proposal draft, advice, or embeddings.
•
With service providers that host, secure, or help operate the app. We do not sell personal data.
Browsing data and permissions
•
The extension is user initiated. It does not monitor browsing generally or collect data from non-Upwork sites.
•
It only reads the page you are on when you use the extension on Upwork pages to capture proposal details.
•
The extension uses Chrome storage to remember its app URL setting and the browser permissions needed to capture the current Upwork page you choose to send.
Retention
•
Captured records are kept until you delete them from the app or request deletion.
•
Extension settings remain in Chrome sync until you change them, clear them, or uninstall the extension.
•
If you want data removed, use the app controls where available or contact the developer using the support contact published with the extension listing.
Security
•
We use access controls and authentication in the companion app so records are tied to your account.
•
No system is perfectly secure, but we aim to minimize data collection and restrict access to the records you create.
